CRAVEN

Aaron Patrick Craven-1

New york based actor

Aaron is a Kansas City native turned New Yorker. His love of theatre began at an early age, first appearing in church productions, like his star turn as Alligator #2 in Noah’s Ark the Musical! His interests began to take shape in high school as he became involved in the school theatre department and choir program.  His formal training began at Wichita State, where he would study musical theatre and dance, eventually graduating with honors. It was during his time at WSU that he first began to perform professionally, touring with Wichita Contemporary Dance Theatre, Ballet Wichita, and eventually earning a coveted spot at Music Theatre Wichita, where he would take home a Mary Jane Teal Award for best supporting actor in Billy Elliot.
From there Aaron moved to Chicago where he worked under the direction of Jim Corti at the Paramount Theatre, before making the transition to New York. Shortly thereafter, Aaron was cast as the lead role in the National Tour of Dirty Dancing, and toured the country for 9 months, earning rave reviews. He was then cast by Baayork Lee as the relentless and demanding director/choreographer, Zach, in the International Tour of A Chorus Line.
His was the first company to ever take the classic show to China. Upon returning to the States, Aaron was cast in the much anticipated New York revival of A Chorus Line at New York City Center, where he played the role of Butch and understudied Tony Yazbeck in the role of Zach. When not on stage, Aaron can be found studying at the Atlantic Theatre Company, Steps on Broadway, or running his personal training business, Craven Fitness.
